CRESC-ASUN Concurrent Credit for Welding Seminar



This 4-day course will prepare instructors to provide concurrent credit in two ASUN welding courses. Participants will review ASUN curriculum and grading requirements for Introduction to SMAW and Gas Metal Arc Welding. Day 1-3 will consist of discussion and hands on training designed for participants to see firsthand what is expected of students and instructors in ASUN concurrent classes. Participants will be trained and evaluated on their ability to perform the tasks required of students. Day four will consist of introduction to AWS welder qualification testing. How these tests align with CTE IRC’s and given the opportunity to take a welder qualification test themselves.
