SCSC -Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)



Join us for an exploration of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), where you'll discover practical insights and resources to help you implement these cutting-edge standards in your garden classroom. 
Focus areas will include:
Assessment and Evaluation: Understand the importance of assessment in NGSS and explore strategies for assessing student learning in a manner consistent with NGSS principles.
Real-Life Applications: Delve into an example lesson that highlights NGSS integration, offering inspiration and guidance for your classroom.
We invite educators of all levels, science teachers, curriculum developers, and anyone interested in transforming garden education using NGSS. This webinar is designed to help enhance your teaching strategies and enrich the science education experience for your students. Discover valuable resources, tools, and support networks to support your NGSS journey. We'll point you toward NGSS-aligned curriculum materials, online communities, and professional development opportunities.


Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
