OUR K-2 Math Collaboration Day

Join us for an engaging, hands-on professional learning session designed specifically for grades K-2 math teachers. This
collaborative PD focuses on building a shared understanding of grade-level standards and Achievement Level Descriptors (ALDs), helping teachers clearly define what mastery looks like and how learning progresses across grades. Participants will unpack standards to identify priority skills, rigor, and alignment while exploring best practices that support conceptual understanding, mathematical discourse, fluency, and problem solving.
Collaboration is at the heart of this session. Teachers will work alongside colleagues to share experiences, analyze instructional approaches, and co-create lesson ideas that can be used immediately in the classroom. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of standards and ALDs, practical instructional strategies, and ready-to-use lesson ideas—plus the benefit of strengthened professional connections with fellow educators.
Note: Participants should bring a laptop and school-adopted HQIM/curriculum for hands-on use.
