CRESC_K-2 Writing
This session will focus on the importance of writing instruction in the K-2 classroom. We will examine handwriting and its influence on student writing and composition. Participants will learn about research on handwriting and its relationship to student performance and skill mastery. In the second part of the day, we will focus on directly teaching sentence-level comprehension and writing. Participants will engage with grade-level topics and texts to develop sentence-level writing activities to take back to the classroom. This session will be applicable to any K-2 teacher using any curriculum.
