DSC School-Based Identification of Dyslexia in Grades 3-12
This session is designed to provide an overview of the updates on the legislation, rules, and the screening process for characteristics of dyslexia. In this session, we will examine the current definition of dyslexia, the core principles of dyslexia identification, level 2 dyslexia screening requirements, case studies, and step-by-step procedures for analyzing assessment data on the dyslexia profile sheets. This session equips educators to serve as knowledgeable members of school-based teams, supporting data-driven decisions in identifying characteristics of dyslexia for appropriate placement in dyslexia intervention programs.
