AFESC-Building the Cup: Executive Function & Behavior in Early Childhood

Behavior is communication. In this engaging and practical session, participants will explore how executive function skills — including self-regulation, impulse control, and flexible thinking — directly impact classroom behavior and learning.

Grounded in brain development research, this workshop will also highlight the critical role of teacher regulation. When adults are regulated, children are more likely to be regulated. Educators will leave with practical strategies to strengthen executive function, respond to behavior with confidence, and create calm, connected classrooms.
