SCSC-Raising the Engagement Bar: Let your students do the Heavy Lifting!



Hey 3-12 teachers from all content areas...

  • Are you tired from doing all of the talking each day?
  • Do you find yourself talking over your students?
  • Are you looking for some ways to spice up your HQIM and Curriculum?
  • Do you want more interaction, processing, and reflecting from your students?

Let's work together to help engage students! Join us for a day of non-technological strategies to help engage students individually and in groups. We will spend part of the day learning and practicing new techniques. Participants are asked to bring a unit, lesson, or standard that they would like to teach differently next year. Time will be set aside to create and enhance your lesson with a new strategy. You can make an exemplar, create new procedures, and think about the steps needed to refine the process. Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
