DMESC Verbal and Non-Verbal De-Escalation Strategies
Participants will explore verbal and non-verbal strategies for preventing or de-escalating situations with students. Discussion of situations teachers have dealt with, exploration of what might have been a trigger, and alternative options for working through situations. More time will be spent on options for handling situations and finding solutions. More discussion in building-level groups about issues with students, scenarios, and problems they would like to discuss.
Important Session Information:
A $100 FEE WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF THE TRAINING IF NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE DMESC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM.
