SCSC - Functional Language in the Classroom

This professional development training focuses on helping early childhood educators use functional language strategies to support young children’s communication and encourage appropriate classroom behaviors. Participants will explore how intentional teacher language can guide children in expressing their needs, following routines, solving problems, and interacting positively with peers and adults. TESS components addressed include: 1A, 3A, 4E

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
