CRESC- Issues and Science by Lab-Aids/ The Newest HQIM for Science-Grade 6-8
This workshop is for 6th-8th-grade science teachers, instructional facilitators, and administrators who would like to gain first-hand knowledge about this curriculum.
We will be diving into several lessons from Issues and Science 6-8, rated all Green on Ed Reports, featuring content from life, Earth, and physical sciences. Each attendee will take home lessons they can use in their classrooms, even if you do not end up using the entire program. We will also explore some of the science practices, such as Analyzing Data and Developing and Using Models. Literacy strategies, supports for student group work, and other useful topics for your teaching practice will be embedded throughout the day.
