OUR Let’s Get Curious Instead of Furious: Adopting a Teaching Mindset Instead of a Policing Mindset Toward AI and Academic Integrity

This highly interactive session will allow for participants to reflect on their mindset toward AI in relationship to academic integrity. We will explore examples of classroom AI policies and then create policies suited for their own classrooms.

Participants will  practice “AI Proofing” their assignments using various  AI tools as well as create new assignments using the “proofing’ concepts they have learned. Attendees should bring 5 to 7 of their current classroom assignments. These assignments should include those that teachers suspect are vulnerable to academic integrity violations. They will also need a laptop, Chromebook, or iPad with keyboard (mobile phones are not suitable for the activities planned).
