SWAEC- Eerie Arkansas VIII - A Look At Arkansas History Through Local Legends and Myths (Zoom)

In this session, participants will gain a unique perspective of the history, geography, and lifestyle of Arkansans through an in-depth look at a few of our Arkansas legends and myths. We will look at the history of our Arkansas State Parks through focusing on some of the myths and legends that follow the mysterious disappearance of Katherine Van Alst in Devil's Den State Park. Curriculum will be presented to show how to incorporate lessons on history and regional geography with grade students. Special attention will be given to helping students develop questioning techniques. Join us for part 8 of this very interesting and eerie look at our state. 3 hours. K-12 Classroom teachers, GT Teachers.
