AFESC-American Heart Association CPR Instructor Certification



The American Heart Association is always seeking professionals to conduct training in first aid, CPR, AED, and advanced cardiovascular care. If you are passionate about saving lives, motivated to facilitate learning, feel comfortable in group settings, and find it easy to make complex concepts understandable to others, you may be a perfect candidate. Emergency Education Associates will conduct a combined BLS and HeartSaver Instructor Course. You must hold a current AHA certification prior to taking this class. A BLS class will be offered on Sept 29th at Arch Ford for any who need this to ensure their CPR is current.

There is required prework. There are also required supplies/teaching materials you will need for this class. Once enrolled you will be given further information regarding necessary steps. If you have questions please email katelyn.chambers@arkansas.gov

**In addition to the $40 online fee for pre-course work, the cost for this course is $200 per participant (making the total approximately $240). Participants will be invoiced by Tracy Starks for the $200 fee following the instructor course on Oct 2nd, 2026.
