NWAESC(2095)-*Mentoring* Special Education: Understanding Services and Supports

This session provides educators with an understanding of special education, including the purpose of specially designed instruction and the continuum of services. Participants will explore which supports are appropriately provided within the general education setting and which require specialized instruction in a special education setting. Through practical examples and discussion, educators will strengthen their understanding of inclusive practices, roles and responsibilities, and how to ensure students receive the services they need in the least restrictive environment.

This session is brought to you by the Mentoring team and is designed for mentors and novices. However, all are welcome. The $25 registration fee is covered for consortium members.
