Participants examine how physical, emotional, and psychological safety,
schoolwide behavior expectations, discipline practices, student support systems, and compliance responsibilities contribute to safe, supportive, consistent, and equitable learning environments. By the conclusion of the session, participants should recognize that safe and supportive schools are not created through a single policy, program, or response to an incident. Instead, they develop through clear expectations, reliable support systems, equitable decision-making, consistent implementation, and daily
leadership actions that help every student and staff member feel safe, valued, and prepared to succeed.
