NWAESC(2095)-*MENTORING* Navigating the Second Year of Teaching



For mentors or novices: this session provides time to reflect, refine, and strengthen instructional practices with a specific focus on student intellectual engagement, lesson structure and flow, and student collaboration and discourse. The session will also include a wellness check-in and a collaborative round-table discussion to share successes, challenges, and strategies with colleagues. This session was planned using the pacing and structure in the 2026-27 DESE Mentoring Manual Appendix B.
