Using the CELP Standards to Assess Language Growth
Access & Advocacy for English Learners PD Series

As the population of English learners grows across the state of CT, it becomes increasingly important to monitor students’ language growth in order to determine what they can do in the mainstream classroom. Join us in this professional learning experience to build a shared understanding of the purpose of assessing language growth, become familiar with the ELP growth targets, learn how to use the CELP standards to equitably assess growth, and increase your capacity to advocate for equitable access and assessment of our English Learners. Participants should bring information/data about the EL students they serve if possible.
