Session Detail

Interactive Student Notebooks

Reasoning skills (both verbal and non-verbal) are some of the most important skills for students to develop in any content area.  Students need to combine deep reasoning skills with the ability to construct questions and the inquisitiveness to answer these questions in order think. One of the ways that you can teach your students how to do this is through Interactive Student Notebooks.  Copying notes is much different than constructing notes.  In this workshop, you will learn how to teach students how to construct notes as they develop strong reasoning and questioning skills.  This ability is important in every content area if you want your students to develop authentic literacy skills.
