Are you a K-6th classroom teacher, reading interventionist, or special education teacher?
Do you find yourself needing some direction on how to provide the best-practice reading intervention instruction during your school-wide or class-wide MTSS time?
Are you struggling with how to intervene to address phonological awareness deficits, phonics needs, lack of reading fluency, and students who have poor vocabulary and comprehension skills?
If you answered “YES” to any of the 3 questions, this workshop is for you!
During this workshop, you will analyze your screening data and diagnostic testing information, and determine if your students are placed in the correct intervention group based on their needs. We will identify research-based instructional practices that are proven to be effective to use with students who have deficits in the following areas: phonological awareness, letter names/sounds, phonics/decoding, and vocabulary and comprehension. Discuss how to progress monitor and/or setup progress monitoring groups in FastBridge, if you are a FastBridge user. This workshop will give you the tools you need to return to your MTSS group with confidence in your own teaching abilities so that you can make a difference in the lives of your struggling readers.
