If you are a reading specialist teacher at the elementary or secondary level or a Title 1 reading teacher, this cadre is for you! This group will be led virtually by consultant, Robyn Pekarek, a previous reading specialist and special education teacher with many years of experience working with struggling readers. We will meet virtually 10 times throughout the year from 3:30 to 4:30 pm (times may change based on the availability of all of our participants). We will address topics such as: how to effectively use our screening data, grouping students in MTSS groups based on the needs of the student, how to work collaboratively with classroom teachers during MTSS time, deciding on instructional strategies to implement that will positively impact students, learning progress monitoring ins and outs, learning engagement strategies to help your small groups stay engaged 100% of the time, and lots of research-based instructional strategies will be shared that you can use and/or teach your classroom teachers about as well. There will be time for lots of discussions and learning from each other on what is working well in your specific position so we can learn from each other’s successes. You will not want to miss being part of this group of educators who will collaborate, grow, and connect together this year!
