  1. NDMTSS: Building a System in Your School (Bismarck Location)

Students fall through the cracks every year and educators continue to do everything in their power to avoid it.  NDMTSS is an improvement framework that provides all students with the best opportunity to succeed academically and behaviorally in school.  This training, intended for school or district lead teams, will assist schools in determining their desired state of providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student need while monitoring progress frequently to make decisions about changes in instruction and/or goals.  The training will empower teams to build an action plan to determine the resources and supports necessary to ensure every student is provided the opportunity to succeed.

  2. MDEC - SPL: Standards, Scales, and Assessment How-To Workshop

This two-day, Standards, Scales and Assessment workshop will introduce North Dakota educators to new resources available for support of the ND K-12 English Language Arts and Mathematics content standards.  Educators from across the state have worked diligently with the Regional Education Association (REA) throughout the past year to identify the ND Prioritized Standards and to create aligned proficiency scales and assessment items.  This workshop will help participants learn how to access and implement these resources for a guaranteed and viable curriculum and improved assessment practices in their schools.  The workshops will be facilitated by REA staff in four sites across the state.  Educators from all North Dakota schools are welcome!

One graduate credit available through VCSU Course #9886.
