Instructional Leadership Community of Practice: Teacher Evaluation

Principals spend hundreds of hours engaged in the teacher evaluation cycle.  Are we maximizing the impact of this process for our teachers and students?

Join this workshop series for focused study and deliberate practice of high-quality, teacher evaluation system components.  Enhancing your instructional leadership through personalized professional learning will be time well spent!

ALL ND PRINCIPALS & SUPERINTENDENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND REGARDLESS OF THE EVALUATION TOOL USED IN YOUR DISTRICT!

This workshop series will focus on implementation of instructional leadership strategies and outcomes in relation to best practices surrounding teacher evaluation, rather than the specifics of any one evaluation model.  Time will be spent each session applying the learned strategies to the local evaluation models.  GUEST FACILITATOR: Dr. Phil Warrick of Marzano Resources!

Topics:
Implementing a model of growth vs. “gotcha”
    Building evaluation time and supports
    Conducting purposeful observations
    Providing effective feedback
    Managing growth goals
    Enhancing written evaluations
    Collecting and sharing observation data
    Monitoring instructional effectiveness
