Healthy Schools Summit

The Healthy Schools Summit works to create a culture of wellness by equipping schools with innovative tools to strengthen the connection between healthy students and improved learning.

Indicator 1.2: Stakeholders collectively demonstrate actions to ensure the achievement of the institution’s purpose and desired outcomes for learners.

Indicator 1.8: Leaders engage stakeholders to support the achievement of the institution’s purpose and direction.

Indicator 2.1: Learners have equitable opportunities to develop skills and achieve the content and learning priorities established by the institution.

Indicator 2.2: The learning culture promotes creativity, innovation and collaborative problem-solving.

Indicator 2.3: The learning culture develops learners’ attitudes, beliefs and skills needed for success.

Indicator 2.9: The institution implements, evaluates, and monitors processes to identify and address the specialized social, emotional, developmental, and academic needs of students.

Indicator 3.6: The institution provides access to information resources and materials to support the curriculum, programs, and needs of students, staff, and the institution.

Let’s activate with a line-up of ND and MN regional and local success stories and find out how they are making a healthy difference in the lives of students! Learn from a principal, superintendent, storyteller and behavior interventionist plus breakout sessions on food allergies, breakfast, active classrooms, recess, fundraising, wellness policy, staff wellness, and a food vendor fair focusing on special diets!

Featured keynote speakers will be: Scott Taylor and Dan Nelson, Julie Dinsmore and Tim Lutz.

Check-in is from 8 to 8:30 am. Lunch will be provided.
