Youth Mental Health First Aide Training

Participants will learn how to and be certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid Training:

  • Address the stigma attached to mental illness
  • Identify the signs and symptoms of a mental disorder
  • Assess for risk of suicide or harm
  • Listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance and information
  • Encourage appropriate professional help
  • Encourage self-help and other support strategies
  • Navigate the mental health resources available to adolescents
