Research clearly demonstrates the power of effective school leadership and its impact on student academic achievement. The academy will provide five, half-day sessions to study the practices and skills necessary for principals to be accomplished instructional leaders. Participants will create a professional network as they engage in structured activities and discussions that result in deeper learning to apply to their real work.

Sessions will be from 8:00-11:00 to be considerate of your busy schedules.

• October 4, 2017: Coaching for Teacher Growth (OPES Standard 2: Instruction)
• November 8, 2017: Beyond Credentialing-Teacher Evaluation: Inter-rater Reliability and Providing Research-based Feedback (OPES Standard 2: Instruction)
• January 10, 2018: Leading Impactful and Successful Change
• February 14, 2018: Building a Collaborative and High-Trust Culture (OPES Standard 1)
