Have you ever wanted to learn how to switch adapt a toy for your student or child? This is the course for you! The Assistive Technology Consortium is joining forces with May We Help to provide you with a step-by-step experience of how to switch adapt toys to encourage cause/effect, increase interaction, attention and motivation for your kids. This self-guided course encourages hands on learning by doing, allowing participants to adapt and leave with a toy to use in the classroom or home tomorrow.
All you need to do is bring your toy or item to adapt. We will provide the rest! Please see the recommended toy/item sheet attached. Unsure if your toy can be switch adapted? Please contact AT Consortium prior to date.
Special Offer: The first ten participants signed-up will receive one toy to switch adapt that they will be able to take with them. All others will be required to bring their own toys to adapt.
**Please note, this is a self-paced course and you can come as you are able between the hours of 2-6 pm as staff will be on hand to assist you through the process. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to adapt the first toy and then 10-15 for any additional toys you wish to convert.
