Over the last few months educators and educational leaders entered unknown territory. There were moments of learning for all and a growing acceptance of becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. Ideas were generated, mistakes were made, and countless lessons were learned all while continuing to optimistically push onward.
In this four week book study we will take leadership lessons from Kristen Hadeed's book, Permission to Screw Up: How I Learned to Lead by Doing (Almost) Everything Wrong. Her primary message focuses on the notion that we often become better leaders through the mistakes we make. While this book is focused on her time building a business, it can easily be translated to anyone leading others. It's a personal narrative with insights and reflections that everyone can relate to. The perfect book to reflect on our past while anticipating the future.
This study will run via Schoology with the course kicking off July 6, 2020. It will include digital reflection questions and collaborative dialogue around two chapters each week. We will have a final Zoom discussion on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.
The book will need to be purchased prior to the study and is available as an audio book, e-book or hardcover from any bookseller. The Amazon link is below.
