  • Explore how common misunderstandings relating to evaluative procedures could impact equity and disproportionality in identification practices.
  • Engage in a deeper analysis of evaluative and identification practices of various disability categories and the impact these decisions have on equity and disproportionality.

Important Session Information:


With the continued challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on education and equity, now more than ever, teams need to examine and reimagine their evaluation practices and structures. The purpose of this three part series is to guide participants through an intensive deconstruction of the most critical features of the multifactored evaluation process: teaming, evaluation and identification. The series will also explore the issues of equity and disproportionality in identification practices and procedures, particularly the categories of Specific Learning Disability (SLD), intellectual disability (ID), Emotional Disturbance (ED).
