Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES)

- Audience:  Principals and Superintendents




  • Understand and apply the OPES rubric to principal defined performance standards stated in the rubric.
  • Identify and cite evidence of practice to support principal rating related to the rubric indicators.
  • Understand the role of evaluator and coach as it applies to providing feedback to principals concerning areas of refinement and reinforcement.

Important Session Information:


This is the required two-day training session to use the new Ohio Principal Evaluation System. Intended audience: Superintendent, principals, central office staff. Participants that attend both days of training will be offered the opportunity to complete the OPES evaluator credentialing exam after the training session.

The $150 registration fee is payable to: Hamilton County Educational Service Center Payments are due one week prior to the training date. Failure to cancel one week prior to training you will be charged full registration fee. Lunch will be on your own.
