From Amazon's description, "Something happens in students when they define themselves as makers and inventors and creators. They discover powerful skills - problem-solving, critical thinking, and imagination - that will help them shape the world's future...our future." We will be thinking about how to challenge ourselves and our gifted learners (as well as ALL learners) to continue to learn and create while they are in online, face-to-face, or blended school environments. If you have read Empower: What Happens When Students Own Their Learning by the same authors, this study will add to your thinking. If not, no problem! It may inspire you to read Empower as well. We will share ideas, discuss each chapter, explore strategies, and connect to each other. Join us and earn 15 gifted HPQD contact hours. Participants will post to discussion threads, reply to each other, share ideas, and complete assignments.
