Lucy Calkins: A Plan of Instruction
Sioux Falls School District Employees Only


Be prepared to start the school year with a writing framework that allows your students to become authors and illustrators. Participants will use Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Writing to explore the essential components of Writer’s Workshop, complete a curriculum map based on the Units of Study, and design a personalized classroom plan for writing instruction.

Sioux Falls School District Employees Only!

REGISTRATION FEE: The SFSD registration fee for this workshop is $40 for SFSD employees or $60 for all other participants. A check for $40 (SFSD) or $60 (Non-SFSD) made payable to the "Sioux Falls School District" will be required at the first class session.

CECH/GRADUATE CREDIT: Class can be taken for CECHs (no charge), or graduate credit from Augustana or USF ($45). at the first session, Augie requires a check of $45 and USF requires an online payment of $45. If taking class for graduate credit, you must be present at all scheduled class sessions as advertised (per Augie's/USF's policy). Failure to abide by this policy will result in an incomplete grade.
