Sioux Falls School District Employees Only

This is a comprehensive course designed to teach CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) to all lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace. This course is designed for persons who are currently certified as well as those who are not. This course includes instruction and return demonstration.

*A minimum of 3 participants must be registered in order for the class to run.

Important Session Information:

CLASS FEES: The American Heart Association Training Institute @ Sanford requires each participant who successfully completes the course to purchase a CPR card. If the participant is requested by their administrator to complete training, the cost of the card is covered by SFSD. If the attendee is not required to take the training, the cost of the card will be $8 cash or a check made payable to "Sanford" and is due at class time. The American Heart Association will issue the cards electronically following successful completion of class.

CLASS MATERIALS: The book, Heartsaver CPR/AED Student Workbook is available for review before, during, and after the class. eBooks can also be purchased online. To check out a copy, please contact Health Services at 367-7926. The book is to be returned in the condition in which it is received.

MISC: Please wear comfortable clothing to class because you will be spending most of the time on the floor.
