Attend this two-day workshop to learn of the broad continuum of
psychological challenges that can arise in working with DHH children and the
means to address them. Participants will learn how anxiety and
depression can manifest in this population and how to develop preventative
strategies to support DHH children. In addition, participants will learn how to identify "red flags" that may
suggest the presence of mental health challenges and suggest additional supports
are needed. Finally, participants will recognize the role they may play in supporting DHH children who may face social-emotional challenges or more formal mental health diagnoses and conceptualize the role of behavior monitoring and
psychological assessment for DHH children.
