Join Stacey Armstrong, a College Board approved trainer, as he shares the essential elements to start and maintain a successful Computer Science Program. This four-day, hands-on institute will start with teaching students basic computer skills and will include a thorough explanation on AP® Computer Science A topics such as Abstraction, Looping, Decision-Making, List Processing, String Manipulation, and Algorithmic Development. AP® Computer Science A labs will be used extensively during the week. Participants will be expected to solve problems and write code during this training.This workshop is for both Computer Science teachers with little or no experience with programming and / or teaching Computer Science as well as teachers with experience. If you have never written a program and need to learn the basics or are an experience coder, this workshop is for you. Lunch will be provided each day.
