Explore a dynamic approach to teaching biology through Gateways to Biology, a full year curriculum aligned to the biology TEKS. Participants will participate in sample lessons and experience strategies that support high quality Tier 1 instruction through:
- Hands-on experiences
- Spiraling Curriculum
- 5E instructional model lessons
- Research-based literacy strategies
Registration includes 1 Gateways to Biology Teacher Edition ($300) and 2 professional development session. To fully implement this curriculum campuses will need to supplement the initial resources with student editions of Gateways to Biology (not included).
Teachers may bring their administrator at no additional cost. The first two hours of the professional development are designed to provide an overview of the curriculum and build school-wide support to ultimately increase student achievement in biology.
