STEM Education in the Elementary Science Classroom, Grades 3-5





Explore elementary science topics that align with technology, mathematics, and engineering. Participants will learn to extend the science TEKS to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) experiences. Come and learn how to increase rigor and student achievement by providing students with opportunities to apply science concepts to real world situations, use 21st century skills, and develop habits of mind that will prepare them for college, career, and life. This session is intended for teachers that are beginning to implement STEM into their science instruction.
