Engaging the Unmotivated Dyslexic or Struggling Reader

With a history of failure and struggling in school, motivating dyslexic students to engage in classrooms is a challenge.  It's risky business! The issue of motivation is multifaceted and involves social/emotional, as well as academic considerations.  Let's explore approaches for creating an environment in which students will thrive and take risks. Strategies to encourage active and equal participation of these struggling students will also be shared.
