Reading fluency acts as the bridge that connects word identification skills to reading comprehension. In this course, participants will explore the importance of understanding the role of fluency in literacy development, TEKS alignment, high yield instructional strategies, progress monitoring, and using assessment to plan instruction.
The class is offered over two days utilizing an asynchronous format. The schedule is as follows:
- December 6th - Self paced independent learning (2 hours) completed prior to December 8th
- December 8th - Live virtual session (4 pm-6 pm)
- December 9th - Live virtual session (4 pm-6 pm)
Participants must complete all sessions in order to earn a certificate of completion.
