Connect problem solving experiences and discourse strategies to
deepen the content experienced in the original Mathematics Achievement Academy,
Kindergarten-Grade 1. Explore and apply the problem-solving model found in the TEKS as a tool
to help students make sense of mathematics and to help the mathematics make
sense to students. Explore and apply mathematical language routines to equip
students to communicate their mathematical understanding with clarity. Experiences
include virtual synchronous sessions, time to plan for job-embedded practice,
and an online community.
