Progress Monitoring in Special Education: Holding Us Accountable! Power Hour (Virtual)

Monitoring a student’s progress toward meeting his or her IEP goals is critical to determining whether the services and supports outlined in the IEP are providing the student with educational benefit.  In essence, progress monitoring holds students and educators accountable for ensuring IEP progress.  The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires IEP teams to document how student progress will be measured. Regardless of what method educators select to measure student progress, progress monitoring must take place. In this session participants will explore key components of progress monitoring tools to monitor academic and behavior progress of students with disabilities in the face to face or virtual setting.
