STELLAR Essay Writing - Best Practices that Support STAAR (English I-IV)

Make your classroom more interactive and fun! Starting with the basics, each informational mode will provide definitions, text features, organizational patterns, strategies, learning opportunities, and student exemplars. Learn how to craft prompts, generate essay starters, and make inexpensive classroom activities by type of writing. The session covers expository, procedural, persuasive, and analytical writing. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is an option because no-tech and mid-tech approaches will be demonstrated. The cost of the professional development includes one copy of STELLAR: Essay Writing, English I-IV. [Training is applicable to informational writing at all grade levels.]
