Mentor Text and Modeling: The Keys to Teaching Writing





When students have mentor texts and see writing modeled by their teachers, they become equipped with the tools and critical knowledge necessary to improve their writing. Participants in this workshop will learn how to use mentor texts and the writing-aloud process to teach students the strategies that writers employ to make their writing meaningful, thoughtful, focused, and coherent.
