Acquire training on professionally accepted practices regarding behavior management and physical restraint. Understand prevention and de-escalation techniques and alternatives to restraint. Successful completion of this workshop meets state requirements for staff likely to use restraint. This staff development opportunity may be provided as a customized service to meet the needs of your district/campus.
In order for participants to successfully complete the training you must be on time and stay for the entire training per Crisis Prevention Institute certification guideline requirements. Late participants will be required to reschedule to another session. Participants who need to leave early will be unable to gain certification. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.
