Speech Sound Disorders: What's New and What Still Works!

The diversity of speech sound disorders presents a considerable challenge when selecting intervention approaches that are efficient, effective, and evidence based. This workshop will provide an overview of phonetic and phonemic treatment approaches, techniques, and service delivery models, with practice in identifying a "best fit" for a particular student. The session will include application for less frequently seen problems such as childhood apraxia of speech, velopharyngeal dysfunction, and motor speech disorders.

Important Session Information:

TSHA CE hours will be available for SLPs and SLP Assistants that sign in before the speaker begins and stay for the entire session. On-going road construction around the Region 4 area may cause traffic delays that could interfere with acquisition of CE hours. Please allow extra time to ensure prompt arrival time. Partial credit will not be available. This session is partially funded through state and federal grants.
