This session will provide the ethical and rational basis for addressing swallowing and feeding in a school district. Attendees will learn why they need to address it and will be given a framework for getting started in their district utilizing a team approach and a systematic procedure. The framework includes the following: 1). Four foundations for addressing swallowing and feeding; 2). Essential components and a plan for district implementation; 3). Administrative decisions and considerations; 4). Outline for district implementation.
TSHA CE hours
will be available for SLPs and SLP assistants that register with Region 4 ESC,
register with ZOOM, and attend the entire session to obtain the TSHA code.
Partial credit will not be available. The information to access the webinar and
handouts will be provided via email approximately 2 days before the session. This
session is partially funded through state and federal grants.
