Acceleration Series: Mastering the Art of the Think-Aloud to Improve Comprehension (Virtual)

Language Arts teachers often encounter the term "think-aloud" in education materials as a promising pedagogical tool. But what exactly are think-alouds, and how can teachers use them to improve comprehension and critical thinking in their students? In this session, participants will learn the qualities and the steps of an effective instructional think-aloud and how to incorporate it into the traditional gradual-release lesson cycle while making connections to the ELAR TEKS.
