Preparing Students for State Writing Testing through Authentic Writing (Grades 3-5)

Preparing students for state writing testing does not require the end of authentic writing. This session extends the expository writing unit covered in the session
The Virtual Writing Workshop: Expository Unit
to preparing a unit specific for STAAR writing. Participants will learn how to extend the explicit teaching done in this unit to cover writing to a prompt.
