Inclusive Practices Power Hour (Virtual)
Using Dinah Zike's Foldables to Increase Student Success: Session 1: Basic Folds





The Inclusive Practices Power Hour offers participants a micro-learning opportunity to learn information that supports students with diverse needs. Participants will receive a strategies to improve academic and functional outcomes for students in an inclusive setting.



Important Session Information:



A certified Dinah Zike trainer leads this session. 

In this session, you will learn about the What, Why, and How of Dinah Zike's Interactive Foldables. This is a hands-on session where participants will learn how to create foldables and identify the purpose behind the folds. Participants will walk away with exemplars of different types of Foldables and how they can support diverse learners in the classroom. 

In this session, participants will create 4 basic folds: 

  • Envelope Booklet
  • Tabs
  • Shutter Fold
  • Pocket Fold

For this session, you will need the following materials:

  • Liquid glue
  • Scissors
  • 10 pieces of paper (your choice of color)
  • Large brown envelope
  • Velcro piece (optional)
