Learn how to actively involve students in meaningful and exciting literacy instruction, which includes both reading and writing skills. For students with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities, literacy instruction must be accessible through strategies that are both practical and hands-on. This session will focus on easy to implement strategies for students in elementary and secondary programs. Sessions will be held virtually with recordings made available throughout the series. Note: Contents of this session were provided in previous years of the Region 4 Life Skills Institute (2014-2019). Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.
