Participants
will review requirements for an individual to be identified as DHH and explore
the essential elements of evaluating language and communication skills for
students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This session will provide an
opportunity to analyze language samples for the purpose of examining expressive
language and considering primary communication mode of the individual.
Participants will discuss examples of how to effectively document these skills
within the IEP and FIE. Session and materials costs are partially funded
through state and federal grants.
